Live Language Assemblies — Primary Languages Network
Live language assemblies

One assembly.
Thousands of pupils.
Live.

Three times a year, our native-speaker teachers host a live online assembly that brings schools together to celebrate languages, culture and being a global citizen, straight into your classrooms.

8,000 pupilsjoined our European Day of Languages assembly. Watch a clip from the picture quiz.

For European Day of Languages, classes across the country sang, quizzed and celebrated together, all at the same time.

Why schools love it
More than a lesson. A shared moment.

Each assembly is led live by Irene and Emilie, the native-speaker teachers pupils already know from our lessons. There are quizzes, challenges and songs, and classes join in through the chat and reactions.

🌍

Cultural ties

Festivals, traditions and everyday life in French- and Spanish-speaking countries, brought to life by people who live it.

🤝

Global citizens

Pupils see themselves as part of something bigger: thousands of children across the country learning languages together.

🎉

Celebrating languages

A whole-school moment that puts languages in the spotlight and shows pupils, staff and parents that they matter.

🚀

Motivating pupils

Live, interactive and fun. Seeing their school's name pop up in the chat gives pupils a real buzz, and a reason to keep going.

Counts towards enrichment

Real language learning, and enrichment evidence too.

Every assembly includes language pupils can use, with vocabulary, phonics and songs linked to our scheme of work. It also counts towards your school's enrichment offer, so it's easy to show in your curriculum and Ofsted evidence.

This year's programme
Three assemblies. Three celebrations.

Each one is shaped by feedback from the schools that joined the last, so the programme keeps getting better.

Questions
Good to know.
How many classes can join?

As many as you like. Each class joins from its own classroom using the same link. Members can bring every class at no extra cost. Other schools buy a £30 ticket for each class.

What do we need on the day?

A board or screen with sound and an internet connection. When you join, use your school name so our team can see who's there and give you a shout-out.

Which year groups is it for?

The assemblies are designed for primary pupils and work for the whole school.

Does it count as enrichment?

Yes. Each assembly counts towards your school's enrichment offer, and it's a great example of cultural capital for your languages evidence.

We're not members. Can we still join?

Of course. Buy a £30 ticket for each class taking part. If you'd like every assembly included, Premium and Premium Plus memberships cover all three each year.

Bring your school to the next assembly.

Next up: our Christmas Special. Booking opens soon, and it's included for Premium and Premium Plus schools.
