KS1 Language Explorers: A tour of the scheme

Discover the ‘Language Explorers’ Scheme of Work (Implementing an EYFS/KS1 Languages Curriculum)

Are you interested in offering French/Spanish lessons to your younger learners?

Do you believe, that, when it comes to language learning earlier is better?

Are you confused about how to get started, how long, and how often you should teach?

What about writing and phonics- are the children going to get mixed up?

If you want to find out more about how PLN can support your school to implement the introduction of foreign languages from an early stage, then join us for this twilight session. In this session, you will:

  • Discover the key principles of our approach with EYFS and KS1.

  • Understand and discuss how to organise the units of learning to design your own EYFS/KS1 languages curriculum.

  • Find out more about the ABC sequence using a lesson from the scheme.

  • Familiarise yourself with all the documentation available to you to support your teaching in EYFS and KS1 including Language mats, Medium Term Plans, and Language Objectives.

The course is suitable for new PLN members, trial users or existing users looking to find out more about our EYFS/KS1 Language Explorer SoW. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • The session will be delivered via Zoom.

  • Attendance is free
