The Planet Awards

The Planet Awards are an annual opportunity for schools and MFL coordinators to get the recognition they deserve for their efforts and expertise put towards Primary foreign languages.

There are 4 main awards to apply for (more detail below)

Any school that is a PLN member can apply for as many awards as they like, free of charge. Applications are now open. All applicants will be judged by our expert panel (see below), winners will be announced live at our annual conference ‘Above and Beyond’ on 19th June.

Biggest transformational impact of the year

This award is for schools that have observed a dramatic improvement in their primary languages within the last year.

Continued outstanding achievement

This award is for schools and coordinators who have delivered consistently high levels of coordination and teaching of primary foreign languages over a period of years (at least 5 years).

EYFS/ KS1 Implementation

This award is for schools that implement KS1 and EYFS primary languages, and is looking for those who go that extra mile in delivery for the younger learner.

Best wall display

This award will go to the best display of the year. We are looking for efficiency and creativity whilst promoting a love of language learning.
